Thankful on Thanksgiving 2019

Hello my little pumpkins!

It’s a little tradition around here that each Thanksgiving, I take a moment to reflect and share the things I’m thankful for each year. This year, I have so much to be grateful for, it’s a bit overwhelming. I’ll try to keep it short and succinct, but honestly, no promises. I’m lucky to have had such a wonderful year, full of exciting times, so I’m happy to share that with you all.

The One

What can I say about this guy that I haven’t said before? He’s honest and kind, and always makes me feel like I’m the most special girl in the world. I’ve never doubted how much he loves me, and he is so supportive of any and all endeavours I undertake. He’s been so amazing throughout our whole immigration process, and he’s one of the strongest people I’ve ever met. He’s everything and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in life.

Family

I am so lucky to have two families that are just so wonderful, it blows my mind. My parents and siblings are just the best-they have done so much for me. I can always count on them for advice and help, if I need it. I also have my in-laws, who have just been so amazing. They’ve welcomed me into their home and lives, and just made me feel like I was meant to be part of their family unit. Families can be crazy, and I am truly so blessed to have the best two anyone could ask for.

Wolfpack Party of Two

Meeting Nadia literally changed my life. She’s more of a sister than a friend, and I don’t know what I’d do without her. Being long distance from your best friend can be difficult, but we have such a strong connection it doesn’t matter. I know I can always count on her to listen to my venting, to make me laugh, and to always have a good time. She’s proven again and again that our friendship is ride or die, and I honestly love her so much.

Old Friends

I have to take a moment to be thankful for this merry band of idiot, who are my best friends. Nadia may be my A1Day1, but Bronson, Donovan and Samantha have been the best group of friends I could have wished for. They are so supportive, always having my back and doing so much for me. Bronson and Donny have welcomed me into their family. Samantha has done anything and everything to support me, giving advice and just being the sweetest person ever. I miss them so much, if I could I’d fly them all to England and keep them here.

New Friends

I’m super thankful for this wonderful group of people in the UK that have welcomed me in and been such a fun lot to hang out with. Moving to a new city, let alone country can be really hard. But I’ve been super lucky in that this wonderful gang has been so lovely. I’m really thankful to have found people, even a world away from home.

Lil’ Monster

This guy has been through so much with me. I know it sounds silly to some, how much I love my cat, but he really is my best friend. I’m so glad he made the trip over to the UK with me, because I’d be lost without him. Although he does keep me from optimal productivity (just look at that cuteness-so distracting!), I couldn’t love him more.

Visa Granted!

This year, I am so thankful to the people that made my new life possible. Of course I’m talking about the wonderful people that work at the UK Home Office, the lawmakers, and everyone else who had a hand in granting me my visa. I am grateful to everyone who gave me advice or talked me down when I was super stressed. Immigration is a touchy subject, but I’m just really thankful that mine when through, finally!

YOU!

Lastly, I am so thankful to all of you who visit my little corner of the internet! It means so much to me that you guys are interested in my work, and take the time out of your busy lives to be engaged in it. I appreciate every like, comment or share, and I can’t tell you how much I love you all for that. It really means the world, I wish I could tell you all how much. Here’s a big cyber-hug to each and every one of you!

For all my American friends, or those who celebrate- I hope you have a really lovely Thanksgiving! In a world that seems to go more mad by the minute, it’s nice to take a moment to reflect on all the good things in life. Let me know in the comments below how you’ll be celebrating this year, and what you’re thankful for!

As always, thanks for reading & stay golden!
