Hello my darlings!
Holiday shopping is one of my favourite things to do in the world, but it can be tricky finding the perfect gift for someone. I always find gift guides really helpful in coming up with ideas for people, so today I’m bringing you another one. Today’s features gifts for the women in your life. Feel free to use the direct links, or just take inspiration from the ideas!
I love a good dressing gown, and chances are the ladies in your life do too. I find there’s nothing cosier than wrapping up, and dressing gowns just seem to be the cosiest, warmest things to wear. Primark has some absolutely gorgeous ones, but if your girl isn’t into the fleecy kind, they do some great silky, thinner ones too!
This one is kind of a no-brainer, really. Most girls like shiny, sparkly things, so jewellery is a guaranteed win. You don’t have to get complicated about it, or super expensive. If you’re not sure what kind of jewellery she wears, or what ring size she is, earrings are usually a safe bet. Go simple, and she’ll love it.
Nice, relaxing baths are just the best, aren’t they? A great gift is a set of smellies- bubble bath, body creams, shower gels, etc. It’s a great gift, because it gives her an excuse to take some time for herself. And nothing is better than pampering herself! If this particular one isn’t for her, shops like Boots and Superdrug do lovely ones as well.
I know this sounds really strange, but go with me here. Luxury haircare is expensive, but if your girl loves it, she loves it. Around the holidays, it can be a bit tight, between getting all the gifts for others, while maintaining the expense you generally incur year round. It’s such a lovely idea to get someone something they always need, but don’t have to then pay for. Another great thing, is that usually this time of year, luxury companies do gift sets of these types of things, cheaper than they usually retail for individually.
What’s better than being cosy in bed, all snuggled up with some really great pjs? Probably nothing, imho. Pyjamas are the kind of thing that you just keep forever until you literally can’t wear them any more, so I think it’s a great thing to get some new ones every once in awhile.
Face Mask Set
Face masks are the kind of pampering I can get behind because it doesn’t take much time, and you can have it on while you are doing something else. For this reason, they are a really great gift to give. I love the idea of sets, because she can try a few out, and see which she actually likes.
This is another things that girls love, but hate buying for themselves. It’s a great idea, and you can go as lux or not as you want/can. Some of my favourite fragrances are less than £20, but I’d still love to receive them on Christmas morning. Admittedly, you’d have to know what she likes or wears, but if you notice one of her bottles is low, it’s a fab gift to give.
Makeup can be a really intimidating thing to buy for someone else, but it doesn’t have to be. A great thing about a lot of holiday sets, is that they are either little tasters of well-loved products, and they tend to be more universal and neutral. Another great idea is to buy a makeup item she’s been dying to try but won’t buy for herself. Or get one of her more expensive favourites for her. For example, my favourite foundation ever is £35, so I’d be chuffed to bits if someone else got it for me. This is where you get sneaky and get into her makeup bag without her seeing, find out her shade, write it down and take it to the makeup counter, they’ll help you out!
I find that tech gifts always go down well, because they are the kind of things people want, but they don’t buy for themselves, unless they’re really into it. Whether that means the latest AirPods, a Google Home, a Smart Watch, or whatever- go for it. It’s something different, and something she’s sure to get a lot of good use out of.
Know someone who loves to bake? Or maybe your girl likes to sew, knit or some other kind of craft. There are loads to books out there that will give her new ideas of bringing her passions to life. Sometimes when something is a well-loved hobby, it gets boring because you run out of ideas. It’s great to give the gift of inspiration, which is exactly what this is.
One of the best gifts to give someone is time. Time spent with you, having a blast and making memories. Whatever that means for you is fantastic. Whether you can afford a holiday away, a show/concert, or a handmade book of future date night ideas, this is one of the sweetest things you can come up with.
I hope this gift guide has been really helpful for some of you, especially if you’re struggling with what to gift the ladies in your life. Let me know in the comments below your best gift ideas, or what you’re hoping for this year!
As always, thanks for reading & stay golden!
