September has absolutely flown by, hasn’t it? Honestly, I can’t believe how quickly the month has gone by. I love love love reading favourites posts, and I freaking love writing them too. It’s so fun to see what people are loving at the moment. There’s quite a bit of beauty, but also some fun other little bits as well. So without further ado, here’s all the things I’ve been really feeling this month.
Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation
You guys, this is such a beautiful foundation. It’s got amazing coverage, a luminous finish, and it’s so comfortable. It has a pretty decent shade range with 34 options to choose from (I’m wearing Fiji at the mo). I love how smooth and radiant my skin looks when I have this on. Every single time I wear it, I get compliments on how good my skin looks. As it is a more luminous finish, it’s perfect for my dry skin. It retails for £35, which isn’t cheap-but I think it’s worth it. I honestly can’t recommend this enough.
Revlon ColorStay Foundation
This is a relatively new find for me, which came recommended by a great friend. Because the Nars foundation is so expensive, I don’t like to use it daily. What I love about this foundation is that they have two formulas, one for normal/dry skin and one for oily/combination skin. I personally use the one for dry skin, and I love it. The coverage is really nice, it’s very comfortable, and it lasts very well throughout the day. I’m currently in the shade Nude, but there are 24 shades to choose from. If you’re looking for a high street option, this is a great one.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
I have to say my night-time skincare routine is pretty extensive, and always includes some kind of lip mask. This is probably my favourite one I’ve tried to date. It will last forever because I’ve been using it for about 3 months and I’ve barely put a dent in the pot. It goes on really easily, and my lips are so soft in the morning. It isn’t overly scented or flavoured, which I like. I also love using this before and after liquid lip products because they tend to dry my lips out. If your lips get dry around this time of year, this is the product for you.
Ole Henrikson Glow2Oh Dark Spot Toner
This has been all over the internet, and it seems like every beauty influencer ever has used it. Is it worth it? Absolutely yes. I feel like toners are those weird products where you’re like…does this work, doesn’t it? I can attest that this definitely does. I can visibly notice when I haven’t been keeping up and using this. Whenever I have a spot, using this ensures that it doesn’t mark or scar too badly. It does tingle a bit, but it doesn’t hurt or burn. It isn’t cheap (£22 per bottle) but I definitely think it’s worth it.
It is now officially autumn, which means you best believe I’ve brought out the booties. They’re just the perfect footwear for this time of year. I got these at Primark for £14, which isn’t too bad. They are really comfortable, and easy to dress up or down. They also come in a tan colour, which are definitely on my wish list!
I love jumpers of all kinds, but high neck styles have to be my favourite. There’s just something about them that make me feel ~*fancy*~. I love that you can dress them up or down, and the ribbed texture of these is just so flattering. They come in loads of colours, and around £6 each.
Another autumnal fashion fave of mine is cord. I love the feel of it, and its thick enough to keep you warm through the cold weather. I recently found these at Primark (yes, I know, I get all my things at Primark), and they are so so nice. The cut is really flattering, and they are quite sturdy and feel like good quality. And they are only £8 each!! The colours are to die for as well! They look so nice with the above mentioned jumpers, tights and booties.
I mentioned in my Netflix post that I am an avid true-crime junkie. I also really love beauty. Bailey Sarian is a queen who brings them together seamlessly. Basically, every Monday she sits down and does her makeup while also sharing a true crime case. Everything is very well researched, and she is just delightful to listen to. I honestly have listened to the entire Murder, Mystery & Makeup playlist in the last 2 months, and it is fantastic.
I am now fully in the spooky autumn feels at my house, and this show is perfect for those vibes. It takes place in Salem, Massachusetts in 1692, at the height of the witch trials. And the witches are who you’d least expect. It’s got a great cast including Janet Montgomery and Shane West, and it keeps you on your toes. It is quite graphic and spooky, but if you don’t mind a little scare and gore, it’s a really great watch.
Whew, we made it!! This was definitely a really long one, but I’ve honestly found so many great things this month to love. Have you found some new recent favourites? Let me know in the comments below!
As always, thanks for reading & stay golden!
