Ahhhh it’s officially autumn. I don’t think I have to tell you that autumn is my favourite season, and I’m super happy it’s finally here. With the temperatures finally creeping down, I’m ready for hot chocolates, cosy jumpers and lots of fluffy pjs & socks! So, in the spirit of the season, here are my favourite things about autumn.
Now, I know what you’re thinking, you actually like rainy days? But go with me here. There’s nothing cosier than a rainy day. I love the sound of the rain on windows, and curling up under warm blankets and just chilling. And there’s few things better than the smell of the air after a good rainfall.
Listen, summer fashion is the bane of my existence. I love fall fashion, from the boots, to the scarves, but most of all the jumpers. I’m a big fan of chunky knits and warm colours. I’m especially partial to a good turtle-neck as well. Give me a good jumper, and I’m a happy bunny.
Pumpkin Spice Everything
Lattes, candles, cakes-I’m all about the pumpkin spice. I know that makes me basic, but frankly, I don’t care. It’s sweet, spicy, it’s absolutely perfect. It’s just the entire season in a flavour, isn’t it?
I can’t lie and say I’m not a candles-all-year-round girl, but autumn is the perfect time to light one. It makes your house extra homey, and it really sets the mood for the season. I’m partial to the pumpkin variety, but I also love the whole Bath and Body Works range. You can’t go wrong with whatever you choose.
Ah, I just love the colours of this time of year. The burnt oranges, mustard yellows, forest greens, they’re all so beautiful. The leaves changing makes everything so gorgeous, and I just love how the fashions almost mirror them.
Halloween is such a fun holiday. I love the costumes, I love handing out (and maybe eating) candy to little kids, I love all the spooky decorations. The jack o’ lanterns, the witchy vibes, the parties. It’s all so fun and festive, and it definitely kicks off the holiday season so, so well.
There are so many things to love about autumn, and these are just a few. What are your favourite things about this time of year? Let me know in the comments below!
As always, thanks for reading & stay golden!
