It’s that time again-another month, another favorites blog. April passed in a flash, but I hope it was enjoyable for you all! I’m excited about this month’s favorites because I feel like I found a lot of fun new things this month, particularly in the beauty department. So let’s jump right in to it!
Laura Geller Quench-n-Tint Hydrating Foundation
So I don’t love to wear makeup on my days off, but sometimes I have to go out in public and look presentable. Enter this little gem. They call it a “hydrating foundation” but it’s more like a tinted moisturizer. It’s very light coverage, just enough to mask imperfections but not enough to give you full glam. What I love is that it’s not super heavy on the skin, which a lot of tinted moisturizers tend to be for me. I usually set it with a powder, but if you have more dry skin you might not have to. I’m loving this for that barely there/day off look!
benefit Hoola Bronzer
I remember my best friend growing up had this bronzer and was obsessed with it. I don’t know why or really how I’ve never picked it up, but it’s definitely going into the forever repurchase pile. It’s pigmented but not too pigmented, which is important for a bronzer. It’s not too warm or too ashy, but a pretty neutral shade that just gives you a bit of color and definition. It even comes in a “Light” shade for those porcelain princesses out there. It’s easy to apply and goes on smoothly-never patchy. I’m absolutely in love with it, and use it pretty much everyday. 10/10 would recommend.
TooFaced Angel Tears Magic Crystal Lip Topper
OK-I’m not a holographic/metallic lip person but this was soooo prettty. The Magic Crystal Lip Topper collection has four shades of lip gloss, Angel, Fairy, Unicorn or Mermaid Tears. Not going to lie-I really wanted Fairy Tears but they were out so I went for Angel Tears. Angel Tears has a pinky holographic tint, so you can wear it on top of lipstick or just alone. I’ve done both and love it either way. It lasts a long time, isn’t sticky and doesn’t have a weird taste or smell. I’ll definitely be going back for the others soon!
Pacifica Underarm Deodorant Wipes
A guest of mine at the salon told me about these and I love them. It’s perfect for those moments when you need a little refresh but don’t have time for a full shower. And especially in hot, sticky Florida-they are a lifesaver. They’re good for sensitive skin, and they are sulfate and paraben free. You can even get this mini pack to take on the go. And they smell so so good-like beaches & coconuts. Bring on summer, you’ll be just fine with these on hand.
Thymes Goldenleaf Gardenia Eau de Parfum
I’ve been looking for a new “everyday” fragrance for awhile, something light, versatile and not terribly expensive. So there I was, overspending in Ulta as per usual, when I happened upon this perfume range. I’d never heard of it before but they are all really, really nice. I went with this one for spring/summer because it’s light and airy, sweet and floral. The bottle is 1.75 oz, and only $40, which is a great pricepoint. And the scent lasts a really long time, so you’re always smelling great! The fragrant notes are gardenia, jasmine and rose- but you won’t be smelling like your grandmother, I promise.
American Eagle Outfitters Jeans
I don’t know how I’m so late to this game but thank god for best friend shopping trips and Nadia forcing me to spend dollars constantly. These.jeans.are.amazing. I got two pairs (I was wearing one while taking photos, hence why there is only one pictured). They were both high waisted jeggings, which fit so so so well. They fit all my curves, even down to my weird skinny ankles. And they’re so comfortable-I’ve accidentally fallen asleep in them twice. The best part? They’re short enough to fit me without hemming! Anyone under 5’3″ knows how fantastic that is. They have tons of different cuts, colors and styles, so there’s definitely something for everyone. I’m never buying different jeans again.
FollowMe Platform Shoes
These shoes were an ordeal and a half to get and I didn’t even wear them for a full two months after getting them. But now they’ve become one of my favorite pairs of shoes. The platform means I get height while keeping comfort, which is always nice for a girl of my stature. I love the cutout, lace up detail- just so cute. I get compliments every single time I wear them. I found them on Asos Marketplace and they were kind of complicated to obtain but so worth it.
This show is so weird, guys, but so good. It’s hard to describe the show without giving too much away but it’s basically about artificial intelligence and the human condition. The basic premise of the show is set in Westworld, a park filled with AIs where you can “do anything you want.” Things happen, plots unfold and boom! You’re hooked. The cast is incredible, including Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Thadie Newton, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Jimmi Simpson, and Luke Hemsworth, among others. All I can say is pay attention, closely. Everything happens for a reason.
That’s it for my April favorites, guys! It was a good month, and I hope you enjoyed reading! Let me know if you’ve tried/try any of these and let me know what you think! And definitely drop me a comment and tell me the things you’ve been loving the past month!
As always, thanks for reading & stay golden!
