The Christmas Tag

Hello you festive fairies!

I saw this post over on Britney’s page (aka Surrelistique) and thought it looked fun, so I’m going to give it a go. Make sure to head on over to her site because she’s a really fantastic blogger! I’ve seen a few variations of this tag but I liked what she came up with so I’m going to go with her version.

What is your favorite Christmas movie?
So many to choose from I’m going to go with Elf.

Do you dress up for Christmas or do you stay in your pajamas?
I usually dress up for Christmas dinner but do pjs to unwrap gifts and hang out.

Have you ever had a White Christmas?
Unfortunately not. I’ll be in England again this year for the holidays, so my fingers are crossed that this is the year!

What is your favorite Christmas song?
Any Christmas song is annoying if you play it too much, but I actually love White Winter Hymnal. Fleet Foxes, Pentatonix & Birdy all have really cool versions.

Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
We always opened just one gift on Christmas Eve, which was always Christmas pjs. They used to be family matching pajamas, but lately it’s been onsies!

Favorite festive food?
I love green bean casserole and sweet potato casserole. Both are super unhealthy but delicious and I only ever get them on Thanksgiving & Christmas.

Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Always fake, we’ve never had a read tree. I think my cat would try to eat it, and it’d make him sick probably.

If you have pets, do they get into the Christmas tree?
Pigeon never gets up into the tree but he always hides under it. We have a little village and train we set up underneath the tree and he always knocks it around. Now we call him Catzilla around the holidays.

Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
Really the only tradition we have is getting the pjs!

What made you realize the truth about Santa?
My brother and I found our bicycles one year in the back of the house. We didn’t usually go into the back laundry room, but we were playing hide & seek. My parents tried to tell us that “Santa had just dropped them off early” but we knew from then on.

What is your favorite holiday drink?
I love hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows. I also really like Peppermint Mochas.

What is your favorite holiday sweet treat?
Gingerbread & ginger snaps are my favorite!

Do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
I like both. I try to put a lot of thought into my gifts so it’s usually fun for me to watch people open them! But of course, who doesn’t like getting presents ?

Are you a pro-present wrapper or do you fail miserably?
Oh I’m so good. I worked in retail shops that had complimentary gift wrapping for years so I’m pretty bomb now.

Have you ever gone Christmas Caroling?
Um, I think my primary school made us go caroling at a grocery store once. It was awkward.

White lights or colored lights?
Ohhh, I like both. I think white are cleaner looking, but colored are super fun too!

Hot chocolate or Egg Nog?
Hot chocolate, duh.

Do you make New Years Resolutions?
Eh, not really. I think they’re kind of pointless because if you really want to make a change then you’ll do it whenever.

I’ve heard of other people opening a pair of pajamas on Christmas Eve too. That sounds like a cool idea. I love pajamas. lol I currently have too many to fit in my drawers though. I still have never tried green bean casserole, but I would like to. It looks good when I see pictures of it.
