Seriously, where did November go? I feel like it was here and gone in a blink of these eye! Let’s hope December slows down a bit so we can all enjoy our holidays! As per usual the end of the month means I round up all the things I’ve been using a lot and loving & share them with you. I’ve tried to keep this short but we’ll see how I do. Without further ado, here are my November faves!
Aveda Botanical Kinetics Hydrating Lotion
I love Aveda skincare, so much. It is gentle, but does the job. It is a brand that I can always count on to keep my skin looking fresh and soft, and it never clogs pores or breaks me out. As it gets “colder” (I mean, it is Florida, so take that with a grain of salt), my skin has been getting weirder and drier. This moisturizer has helped me keep my skin hydrated without feeling greasy or heavy. I love how lightweight and breathable it is. And it doesn’t cause my makeup to shift which is a plus. 10/10 would recommend!
Morphe 35O2 Second Nature Palette
I ranted about this on a previous post, so I’ll keep it short here. The palette is perfect for fall/winter, or if you’re like me and love warm colors on the eyes, all year round. The shadows are pigmented, blend easily and work flawlessly together. Bottom line, the quality for the price is fantastic, and it is worth every penny.
e.l.f. HD Undereye Setting Powder
I’ve been using this stuff on and off for years, and I always seem to come back to it. I use it to set not only my undereye area, but my T-zone as well. It does a really nice job of setting my makeup without caking up. I find that it blurs fine lines and pores, giving my skin a smooth, flawless finish. Pro Tip: Use a dry beauty blender to apply instead of a brush, it gives a nice finish & wastes less product!
Amika Nourishing Hair Mask
I was introduced to this mask recently by a friend of mine and I absolutely love it. It really moisturizes my dry ends without weighing my hair down. My hair feels so soft after I use this. It’s packed with good stuff including jojoba seed oil and vitamin C. It’s sulfate and paraben free and safe for color, Brazilian or keratin treated hair. I usually use it about once a week. The only complaint I have is the packaging, mostly because I hate products that come in a tub. Other than that, full marks on this one!
American Eagle Flannels
I am a 90s baby, so flannels are so close to my heart. I discovered just how amazing this were last year on Black Friday, so when this year’s sale rolled around I just had to get another one. I love the red & black of this one, it feels festive, yet it’s wearable all year. It is just so freakin’ soft, I want to live in it…and I do when I’m not at work. Just get yourself one and see what I mean.
I wear a lot of brogues, and I love letting a little bit of my socks show at the ankle. That being said, I like to have fun / funky socks to show off. My favorite place to buy is Target. They are generally inexpensive and they always have really good patterns. They have some really cute winter ones out right now that are actually pretty wearable! I like buying from Target because they actually last and don’t disintegrate in one wash like other inexpensive brands. If crew socks aren’t your thing, they also carry ankle and over the knee! They even have some cute liner socks!
This.show.is.so.good. I literally watched the entire season in one day, which is crazy, I know. It’s based on a book of the same name by Margaret Atwood, who also wrote The Handmaid’s Tale. It takes place in 19th century Canada, where a psychiatrist weighs whether a young girl convicted of murder should be pardoned based on insanity. Literally it’s a huge mind bender, and keeps you guessing the whole time. And that ending though. I’m still reeling from it. If you love a good mystery/thriller/crime drama/period piece, you’ll love this.
Ok, I’ve been watching a lot of TV this month, I admit it. I discovered Broadchurch a few months ago and was hooked. The most recent season was recently released on Netflix, and I just had to catch up. It’s a crime drama that follows two detectives- Alec Hardy & Ellie Miller as they struggle to get to the bottom of crimes in the small idyllic town of Broadchurch. It’s dark and twisty and absolutely enthralling. 5 stars!
That’s it for my November favorites! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these in comments below. And don’t forget to tell me what you’ve been loving the past month!
As always, thanks for reading & stay golden!
