This is becoming a little tradition-where I count my blessings right before Thanksgiving. In all the hustle and bustle of the holidays it’s easy to forget what’s really important. The world is a crazy place, and with all that goes on, it’s nice to sit and reflect on the good every once in awhile. So without further ado, here is what I’m thankful for this year.
Happily Ever After
I’m literally the luckiest girl in the world because I get forever with this amazing human. He’s the most genuine, thoughtful, sincere, sweet and generous person, and I get to keep him- what is life?! He always supports me, calms me down when I’m on level 10 freakout mode, and always reminds me how proud he is of me. Love isn’t strong enough of a word for what we have. I’m so grateful to have him in my life and to be a part of his.
This merry band of fools is why I am who I am, and that I’ve made it this far. I owe them everything. Yeah, sometimes we have our tiffs, and we don’t always like each other, but the love is always there. I know I can count on them, and that they’ll always be there for me. Bonus: they’re pretty damn fun to hang out with.
A1, Day 1
This girl has proven to be, time and time again, my ride or die. We’ve been through so many crazy things the last few years, but our friendship never fails. Even though she lives threes states away, we’re as close as ever. She’s the only friend that I know will be there for me 100%, all day every day. The universe must have conspired to make us friends, and I’m so lucky/glad/grateful that it did. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without her.
This year, I’m especially grateful to have found an amazing group of people at work. It’s super scary to leave somewhere that you’re comfortable and start over, but everyone has been super welcoming and helpful. I actually love going to work, which I feel really lucky to say. I know a lot of that has to do with the fantastic team I have supporting me (not all of whom are pictured here obviously). It’s amazing to find a group of people you work with that you can also call friends, so I’m super thankful for that.
I got to travel to so many cool places this year, and see more of the USA than I ever have before. From Chicago, NYC, Boston, Philly, Williamsburg, Washington DC, plus Mexico…it’s been a crazy year. Not everybody has a chance to see so much. Travelling is one of my favorite things to do, and I’m so happy I got to do so much.
This guy. I honestly wouldn’t be complete without him. Some people don’t get it, they think that cats aren’t good pets, but he always proves them wrong. He always gives me a cuddle when I need it, and he’s just so freaking cute. He has the weirdest ways of making me smile, and I look forward to coming home to him each day. Even though he can be an absolute monster on occasion, just look at those eyes. He’s worth it every day.
I hope you and yours have a very Happy Thanksgiving! In a world as crazy as ours, it’s really nice to remember the good things in life. What are you thankful for this year? Let me know in the comments below!
As always, thanks for reading & stay golden!
