Top 10 Favorite TV Shows

Hello friends!

As we get further into fall, it becomes the perfect time to curl up with cosy blankets and binge-watch some quality TV. Especially with all the school breaks coming up I thought I’d share my top 10 favorite TV shows with you all. Get the popcorn ready my loves, here’s your new addictions.

1. Game of Thrones

Do I even need to talk about this? I feel like everyone in the world knows about Game of Thrones. I mean what could be better than kings, queens, awesome battle scenes, oh yeah…and some dragons for good measure. The cast is incredible, the storylines are unreal. Fair Warning: Don’t get too attached for any character because nobody is safe.

2. Outlander

If you know me, you know that I have a mild obsession with Scotland. The show is about a woman who time travels back to the 1700s in Inverness. Shenanigans ensue, romance arises and it is incredible. I melt pretty much every episode, and I highly recommend.

3. Scandal

I honestly want to be Olivia Pope. She’s a strong, relentless, powerful woman in Washington, who takes what she can. The storylines can get a little melodramatic at times, but the monologues are always worth it.

4. Sherlock

I’ve been a Sherlock Holmes fan since I first read The Hound of the Baskervilles in middle school. This modern take on Holmes is so freaking good. Benedict Cumberbatch & Martin Freeman make the perfect Sherlock & Dr. Watson team. The only negative to this show is that there are not enough episodes.

5. The Office

Arguably the greatest comedy ever to air on television, The Office follows a group of people who work at a paper company under an idiot boss named Michael Scott. Listen, I am not a big comedy person but this one stole my heart and soul. The episodes are short, easy to watch, and hilarious. And there are 9 seasons. You’re welcome.

6. The Crown

Ok I admit it; I’m a sucker for a good British drama. The Crown tells the story of the current Queen Elizabeth in her younger days. It is really quite emotional, and is brilliantly executed. I can’t wait for the new season!!

7. The Handmaid’s Tale

THIS.SHOW.IS.EVERYTHING. Seriously, if you haven’t seen it, just go onto Hulu and watch it now. I don’t want to say anything because it’ll ruin it, but just know that it’s absolutely incredible.

8. Law & Order SVU

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit - Season 18

Ok, it’s kind of weird to say that this is a favorite, but it actually is. I’ve been watching this from the beginning and I can’t stop. The episodes are individual enough that you can kinda watch them in any order, but there are some over-reaching storylines. Also, Olivia Benson is a girlboss, end of story.

9. Black Mirror

This show is so good, so sooooo good. Each episode is a stand alone, meaning you can watch them in whatever order you want. They are all very deep, and make you think. It’s all kind of a “what if?” about society, social norms, even AI and technology. My best advice? Start with any episode other than the Pilot. Nosedive, White Bear, White Christmas, and The Entire History of You are my faves!

10. Criminal Minds

Criminal-Minds-Season-12

I admit that I’m a sucker for a good crime procedural. This one follows and elite team of FBI profilers as they try to catch serial killers. I’d recommend watching from start to finish, but it is usually possible to just pick an episode and watch it. My fave character is Dr. Spencer Reid, but the whole crew is pretty awesome.

And there you have it, my top 10 favorite TV shows. Of course, as things end and new shows come out, they are subject to change, but for now, this is what I’m loving. Do you watch any of these? What are your favorite shows? Let me know in the comments below.

As always, thanks for reading & stay golden!

XOXO,
