June Monthly Favorites

Hello friends!

On my old blog HotGirlDisguise I used to write monthly favorites, and I loved them. They’re really fun, and I get to share things I’ve been loving the past month. Now, I realize I’m kinda late as it is June 14, but hey I figure if Jaclyn Hill can post her faves late, so can I, right? I also decided to do them a little differently than I used to. I’m going to write about not just makeup, but books, food, shows, whatever I’ve been into. So with all that said, let’s get started!

Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Concealer + Corrector

I actually got this at the end of June, after my surgery. My mom was running to the store and asked if I needed anything, and I had run out of concealer. I usually go for the Maybelline FitMe! Concealer, but they were out of it, so my mom grabbed me this one, and I’m really glad she did. I absolutely love it. It is really pigmented, gives great coverage, and the price is really good as well. It contains ACTYL C, which is known for its antioxidants, so it’s meant to be good for the skin as well. It’s just really beautiful. It brightens up the undereye and hides any blemishes I might have, while also blending really nicely and never getting cakey. I may have found a new holy grail item!

Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair

I’ve talked about this before in  My Top 5 Hair Products post but I recently lightened my hair so it has been really needing some damage control. This is a leave-in conditioner that contains quinoa protein to help rebuild damaged hair. It also has a heat protectant, which is great because I blow-dry and straighten my hair a lot. It is a little on the pricier side, but so worth it. If you have really dry/damaged hair or want a really good leave-in conditioner, this is your new lifesaver!

Davines This Is A Sea Salt Spray

I am probably the pickiest person when it comes to salt texturizing sprays. I find most of them too sticky, or too drying, so it’s really hard to find one I like. That being said, I really love using them during the summer because they enhance my natural wave and it’s easy to do on a day that I’m not working. I really love this one, as it moisturizes the hair while  giving a really nice beach wave, it’s gorgeous. It genuinely makes it look like you went into the ocean and let your hair air dry. Give it a go, you won’t regret it!

ZoellaBeauty Double Créme Body Creme

If you know me then you know that I love YouTuber Zoella and her products. I think she’s so cute and such an inspiration to young women and especially bloggers. You may have read about my *~slight~* obsession with ZoellaBeauty. Zoe recently released her new Sweet Inspirations collection (which is amazing), and this product was one of the items included. It is a totally different scent from her other products, which tend to be fruity or floral. This is quite a sweet scent but not sickeningly so. It reminds me of fresh baked sugar cookies. As the name suggests it is really creamy and moisturizing. I love that it’s not tacky or sticky and doesn’t leave a film. This is definitely my new favorite!

White Mountain Range Bootie

THESE.BOOTS.ARE.EVERYTHING. Look, I know it’s summer and boots aren’t ~*in*~ right now, but I’m a hairstylist and I don’t want to get hair splinters and die. Also, these are the most comfortable boots ever. I originally bought them for my trip to the UK this past Christmas, and they are probably the best shoe purchase I’ve ever made. I love them because they’re stylish, they give a little height but they’re sooooo comfortable. Seriously, I wear them for 8+ hours a day, for days in a row and never have a problem. Best part? They’re on sale right now, so you can go ahead and get ready for fall here. You’re welcome.

bare Cinnamon Banana Chips

I love this brand so much. I first tried their Coconut Chips (which are delicious) and fell in love. I saw these were on sale recently at Publix so I decided to pick them up and give them a go. Thank god I did. They are seriously soooo tasty. They are gluten-free, fat-free, no oil, no added sugar, and no preservatives. They literally just contain bananas and cinnamon, which I love. I love to snack on these at work, or as a pseudo-dessert. Don’t love cinnamon? That’s okay they have simply banana or cocoa banana flavors. Don’t love bananas? That’s cool, they have a full range of coconut and apple chips. Just try them out, you won’t regret it.

Arnott’s Original TimTam

On a not healthy note, these may or may not be the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Seriously. I am lucky enough to have a sweet sweet friend named Lizzy who lives in Australia, who is awesome and sent me a care package full of sweet treats from Oz. These were included, and guys..I’m obsessed. I honestly don’t know how I’ve lived without them. Basically it’s two crunchy cookies (or biscuits) with chocolate creme in the middle, coated in more chocolate. Um…chocolate. It’s sweet, crunchy, creamy. Literally just the best. I honestly don’t know if you can get them in the States, so if you know how…please let me know. If not..make you some Aussie friends, stat.

Ok guys, that’s it for my June monthly favorites. Thank you so much for reading! What have you been loving recently? Anything I should try? Let me know if you’ve tried any of these and what you think! As always, stay golden!
